Memorial services for Charles Franklin Everest, 91, of Cullman will be at noon Friday, April 29, 2016, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Mr. Everest died Tuesday, April 26. He proudly served our country in World War II Front Line Medic (was awarded a Silver Star and Purple Heart), was a Seventh Day Adventist Minister, went into hospital administration/human resources which took him from Florida to New Jersey to West Virginia to Alabama. For most of his life he had a love of flying and, was a pilot in his younger days, but later on he became an avid enthusiast of remote control aircraft and he became a member of Ullman Aeromodelers. He was also a shop owner.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Kreps Everest of Cullman; son, Rick (Terry) Everest of Tallahassee, Fla.; daughter, Melissa (Sidney) Austin of Cullman; grandchildren, Josef Austin, Katie Austin, Andrea Austin, all of Cullman, Tiffany (Kevin) Brill of Stanardsville, Va., Shannon Everest of Asheboro, N.C.; great-grandchildren, Savannah Barnum, Hunter Barnum, Finn Barnum, Zeke Barnum, all of Asheboro, Rianna Brill, Presley Brill, Eliza Brill, all of Stanardsville; sisters-in-law, Katherine Kreps and Carlene Kreps of Cullman, Linda Pauli of Huntsville; brothers-in-law, Gerry (Concetta) Kreps, Jimmy (Kathy) Kreps, Rickey (Jo) Kreps, Rodney Kreps, all of Cullman.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Charles F. Everest Fund at Sacred Heart School.
Moss Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be from 10 to noon Friday at the church.
