

She was born on June 6, 1925 in Cullman to Guy and Mamie Lassetter. She married Ray Dunlap of Hanceville in 1951. They raised their family in Guntersville where Charlotte was known as an active community member. She returned to Cullman in 1984 to care for her parents and invalid sister. She remained in excellent health until the last three months of her life which allowed her the independence and self-determination she was so famous for.
Charlotte was a devoted Christian and served in several churches during her life. First Baptist and Creek Path Baptist of Guntersville, First Baptist and St. John’s Evangelical Protestant of Cullman. She was a godly example to al, especially her family for whom she prayed faithfully for decades.
How appropriate is this scripture for her life. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7
Charlotte is proceeded in death by her parents, her brother Edward, her sister Wilma, and her husband. She is survived by her daughter Vicky Rudolph Lawrence (Charles) of Libby, Montana; her son Jimmy Dunlap (Marianne) of Huntsville; 3 grandchildren, Brett Dunlap of Marietta, Georgia; Deborah Buckner of Libby, Montana; Sarah Howard of Panama City, Florida; 7 great grandchildren, Allasandra Buckner, Dylan Buckner, Hunter Buckner, Fisher Buckner, Tyhaden Howard, Tres Howard, Madeleine Dunlap.
Graveside services will be Friday, November 6, at 11:00 am at Crestview Cemetery in Guntersville.
