Claudie Carl Hawkins

Mr. Claudie Carl Hawkins of Hanceville Alabama passed away on June 10, 2011 at his residence at the age of 87 after a long illness. Mr. Hawkins was born on April 6, 1924 in Texas to Marion Claude and Nora Jane Sexton Hawkins. He served in The United States Army and he was a veteran of World War II and was a survivor of The Invasion of Normandy and The Battle Of The Bulge. He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 Son: Dannie Lee “Butch” Hawkins and 12 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Monday June 13, 2011 at Moss Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Larry Duke officiating. Interment will be in Cullman Memory Gardens.

Survivors are: Wife of 65 years- Mozell Taylor Hawkins, 1` Daughter: Janace Hawkins (Harold) Wright of Campina Grande, PB Brazil, 1 Son: Terry Carl (Jamie) Hawkins of Douglasville, Ga. 2 Brothers: Frances Eldon (Ruthie) Hawkins and Leon C. (Ruth) Hawkins, 4 Grandchildren: Adam Hawkins, Jarod (Monica) Hawkins, Dylan Hawkins and Carley Hawkins, 3 Great Grandchildren: Tyler, AnnaKate and Isabella Hawkins and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Sunday June 12, 2011 at Moss Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
