Well Dad another Thanksgiving has passed without you and I sure did miss you sitting at the table eating all that good food. We got to meet Hank and spend time with family but there was a empty space at our table without you. Hank would smile like you so in some way you were there. Paul is a good father like you were. Miss you dad and wish you were here.

     It is a sad day to remember but everyday has been sad since you left. I have so much on my heart,I couldn't say it all. I miss you dad and I love you.

Well daddy it's almost been a year since you left us but only in the earthly body but you are very much alive in our hearts. Sometimes I laugh when I think of you and sometimes I cry. I wish you were here with us. So much has happened this last year since you have been gone. You were a great father and so full of wisdom. Im so glad you raised me to love camping and the outdoors. I passed that love to my children and we use your camping supplies and it makes me feel closer to you. Im so thankful mom kept journals of your camping trips. I love reading about the many people who loved sitting around your campfire and listening to you tell stories. I sure do miss you dad and the 31st will a sad day for us but God knew best. From the bottom of my heart I love and miss you always.

Dad you are now a new grandfather. I wish you were here to join in the joy and happiness Paul and Kayla and Penny are feeling because little Hank came into this world. Penny is such a big sister now. We all miss you and think of you every day. We know Paul will make a great dad because he learned from the best. Love and miss you

     A day you longed to see came today, Paul and Kayla had a boy.  He is named Scott Henry partly in honor of you.  You always wanted to have the Bland name carry on through your family and it did today.  

     I wish you were here to see him and tell all about our family history.  We will do it for you and we have many stories.

Dear Dad,
     I can only tell you Happy Father's Day through this tribute now.  

     I have reflected on you so much since you passed, more than when you were here or maybe just in a different way.

     Of course, not perfect, but you were an amazing person and dad.  I learned so many good things from you and I see them even more clearly now.

     It is hard not having a dad to buy a card for or plan a dinner but, I celebrate you tomorrow and every day of my life.  I love you and miss you so much!

Dad I thought as the days went by it would get a little easier to deal with your passing but that is not the case. I think about you all the time and wish God would have let us have you longer. We all miss you but Mom is not the same without you. She is being well taken care of by Brenda. We all love you and miss you.
