Mr. Dana Boyd Parker

Funeral Services for Mr. Dana Boyd Parker, age 65 of Cullman, will be Sunday, January 15, 2012, at 3:30 p.m. in the Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery, with Rev. Dudley Brock officiating.

Mr. Parker passed away Friday, January 13, 2012 at his residence. He was born to Julius and Susie Mahler Parker on November 26, 1946 in Cullman.Dana worked for 12 years for the Cullman Power Board, as a lineman; and had helped many with his tree surgeon business. When he was able, he loved being outdoors, frog gigging and hunting.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Brent Dana Parker; and one nephew Chris Rodgers.

Survivors include his Wife of 46 years – Diane Bryant Parker; one Daughter – Bridget (Tim) Freeman; five 5 – Grandchildren – Zachary Freeman, Cassie Freeman, Whittney Parker (David) Shields, Brittney Parker and Emily Parker; four 4 – Sisters – Minnie (Ronnie) Heaton, Serena (Larry) Hullett, Annette (Mike) Creest and Lisa (Steve) McSwain; one Sister-in-Law – Judy (Larry) Baker; two 2 – Dear Friends – Andrew (Joyce) Hoenig and Jerry (Shirley) Scott; and a Host of Nieces & Nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home for visitation on Saturday, January 14, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
