Doyle "Gus" Raphael Lowry
May 15, 1935 – February 18, 2021
Doyle Raphael (Gus) Lowry died peacefully at his home on Thursday morning, February 18, 2021. The son of Harry Raymond Lowry and Grace Estelle Phillips Lowry, he was born May 15, 1935.
Gus graduated from Cullman High School and attended St, Bernard College while working with his father and brother, Buford, in the family business, Lowry Implement Company.
Gus is a long-time member of First Presbyterian Church, serving as Elder.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Harry Buford Lowry (Jo Ann), Clifford Aubrey Lowry (Wynema), and Dalton Douglas Lowry.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Cora England Lowry, sons Steven Craig Lowry and John Langston Lowry (Katharyn), grandson, John Louis Lowry, sister-law Louise Smith McCool Lowry.
Private funeral services will be held at First Presbyterian Church on Sunday, February 21 at 2:00.
