Mr. Kilgo was a WWII veteran of the United States Navy. He then served in the Unites States Postal Service for 30 years in Birmingham, AL.
He was preceded in death by his son, Stephen Wayne Kilgo; his parents: Alpheus O. & Pearl Harbison Kilgo; and siblings: Robbie Kilgo Howard, Dorothy Doris Kilgo Styles, & A.O. Kilgo Jr.
Mr. Kilgo was survived by his wife of 69 years, Evelyn Cordes Kilgo; a sister, Juanita Kilgo; 11 nieces and nephews; many great nieces and nephews; and great great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM and Thursday from 11:30AM until 1:30PM at Moss Service Funeral Home. A graveside service to honor the life of Mr. Kilgo will be Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 2:00PM at Cullman City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Good Hope Baptist Church or Logan Methodist Church.
