

Funeral Services for Rev. Elbert Lonnie Chambers, Jr. age 85 of Cullman will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 30, 2013 in the Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel, with Kevin Gray, Jason Sapp, Tanya Sapp and Dr. Ralph Andrews officiating. Burial will follow at Good Hope Cemetery.

Elbert was born on September 22, 1928 in Cullman; and he passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Woodland Village Health Care. He had served in the U.S. Army, was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church, and a long time Minister to many area churches.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Elizabeth Berrens Chambers Sr.; and one sister, Mary Wunderlich.
Survivors include his Wife of 62 years – Doris Jean Russell Chambers; four 4 – Daughters – Sandra (Maxie) Rhodes, Donna (Mickey) Peoples, Susan (Alan) Sapp and Karen (Bryon) Duncan; three 3 – Sisters – Millie Griffin, Shirley Coad and Dorothy Harbison; three 3 – Brothers – Herbert Chambers, David Chambers and Carl Chambers; eleven 11 – Grandchildren – Brandi Rhodes, Kim Dial, Whitney Bates, Mitaya Rhodes, Chad Gray, Kevin Gray, Jason Sapp, Tara Coleman, Tanya Sapp, Tina Hancock & Jared Caples; and twenty 20 – Great-Grandchildren.
The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Sunday, September 29, 2013 from 5:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
