Emma Jean Tuggle was born June 1, 1941 to Willie Casper Laseter and Mable Parrish Laseter. She married Jerry Wayne Tuggle on August 19, 1959, and this life blessed her with three daughters, Debra (Brent) Huser, Jill (Mike) Thornton, and Tracy (Kerry) Miller.
Known as “MawMaw”, she was proud grandmother to ten, Harrison (Kay Palopoli) Mansour, Zach (Maddie) Hill, Sam Huser, Ben Huser, Matt Mansour, Lee Miller, Emma Mansour, Jackson Miller, Ethan Miller, and Meric Thornton, and great-grandmother to one, Brooks Hill. She was a 60-year plus member of Northside Baptist Church, was an avid traveler and loved to read. She was a die-hard fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide and Atlanta Braves.
Our mother passed Wednesday, August 19, at her residence, on her 67th wedding anniversary. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jerry, and her three brothers, Edward Laseter, Leon Laseter and Coy Laseter.
Please join us in celebration and honor of her life. Her service will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, August 23 at Moss Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, prior to the service, for visitation.
The family wishes to recognize and thank the staff of Westminster of Cullman and Aveanna Hospice of Cullman, whose compassion and care was above expectations. Their care of our mother and the support of our family made this transition so much easier. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to one of these organizations.
