Esteen Hill Adams Jones

Funeral services for Esteen Hill Adams Jones, age 90 of Cullman, will be held on Monday, December 13, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Catholic Cemetery, with Father Patrick Egan, O.S.B. officiating.

Esteen passes away on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at Huntsville Hospital. She was born on October 29, 1920 to Marion Hill and Johnnie Collier Hill. Mrs. Jones was a devoted wife and mother. With her husband, she loved to socialize, dance, play bridge, golf and travel. She also enjoyed playing the piano, was a gourmet cook, to the delight of her husband, family and friends. In her spare time, she was a volunteer at Hospice for 13 years and other various organizations. She left her mark on many to remember her poise, grace, sweet smile, gentle touch, giving spirit and strong independance. She had also owned City Glass Company.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Leonard B. Adams and Joseph E. Jones; two sisters, Mareta Drake and Imogene Brown; two brothers, Doug and Donald Hill; and one grandson, Len Adams III.

Survivors include, two Daughters, Jo Ann Jetton and Hazel Eason; one Son, Leonard Adams; one Sister, Johnnie Hestla; two Brothers, Verle Ray Hill and Jimmie David Hill; 14 Grandchildren; 24 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great-Grandchild.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, December 12, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7:30 p.m.
