Frances Drake Drake Carlton

Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Drake Carlton, age 83 of Cullman, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 14, 2011 in the Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m. in Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville, with Dr. Edwin Hayes officiating.

Mrs. Carlton was born on October 17, 1927 in Cullman to the late Amel Drake and Nora Wilhite Drake. She passed away at Cullman Regional Medical Center on Thursday, February 10, 2011.

Frances was an Charter member of “Tide Pride” for over 40 years, a patriotic member in the ladies V.F.W. auxiliary; and a faithful member of 1st Baptist Church in Center Point for many years prior to moving back to Cullman and placing membership at Cullman 1st Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, JB Carlton; one sister, Naomi Cartledge and one brother, Euel Drake.

Survivors include three 3 – Daughters – Amelia (John Paul) Brigneti, Lenora (Steve) Gable and Nancy (Jamie) Sharpton; eight 8 – Grandchildren – Erik Brigneti, Kristen (Matt) Velez, Jennifer (Cain) Marks, Jacob Gable, Katie Sharpton, Natalie Sharpton, Olivia Sharpton and Mathew Sharpton; two 2 – Great-Grandchildren – Parker Marks and Marlee Marks; one Sister – Marie Pattillo; three 3 – Brothers – Hansel (Lottie) Drake, Wallace (Sue) Drake and Charles (Ellen) Drake; and numerous Nieces and Nephews and other family.

The family will receive friends here at the funeral home on Sunday, February 13, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
