

Funeral services for Grady Claude Jones, 87, of Hanceville will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2011, at Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Truman Davis officiating, with burial in Fairview West Cemetery. There will be military and masonic services at the funeral home following the funeral.
Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Jones died Sunday, June 5, at the Veterans Administration in Birmingham. He was born March 3, 1942, to Claude and Nellie Hyde Jones. He was a welder and locksmith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Keith Lamar Jones; three brothers, Bryce, Henry and Alton Lee Jones; and his first wife, Margaret Jones.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Sullins Jones; a son, Jerry (Sharon) Jones; three daughters, Angie (Dwight) Mardis, Joni (Steven) Smith and Donna (George) Lucas; three brothers, Wayne Jones, Laverne Jones and J.C. Jones; two sisters, Verona James and Nettie Jean Carroll; and 17 grandchildren, Melissa Lake, Bobby Jones, Jeff Jones, Paul Jones, Rayena Thorne, Ray Thorne, Barry Mardis, Michael Mardis, Olivia Smith, Satchel Smith, Jennifer Castillo, Baranda Kincaid, Kevin Jones, Christina Elrod, Tony Morelli, Laura Carson and Garrett Carson.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
