Funeral services for Harold Dennis Thornton 66 of Cullman will be 2 pm. Tuesday, December 20 at Moss-Service Chapel with burial at Duck River Cemetery. Harold was born January13, 1950 to Bryant and Elnora Smith Thornton. He was a restaurant manager. Harold was an avid golfer and managed the U.S. Navy golf courses on Guam for four years. He served in the U.S. Army from January 1968 to July 1978, first as a weapons specialist an then as a nuclear weapons specialist. He is preceded in death by his parents, step-daughter; Robert Jenkins, brothers; Franklin Thornton, Albert Jenkins, Jerry and Robert Thornton, sister; Krisann Thornton. Survivors include son; Jesse Dale Thornton, daughter; Kimberly (Mike) Arnold, brothers; Ray, Doug, Bryant and Lee Thornton, granddaughter; Makersi Arnold, special friends; James Dinger, Kayls Finkerstein and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday 11-2 at the funeral home.
