
Funeral services for Hollis Bagwell, 81, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 4, 2011, at Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Vernon Willis and Pastor Ron Whitener officiating, with burial in Emeus Baptist Cemetery.
Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Bagwell died Wednesday, Nov. 2, at Cullman Long Term Care. He was born Aug. 22, 1930. He was a maintenance worker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, mother, Jewell Carden Bagwell Johnson; his father, Curtis Bill Bagwell; his stepfather, Rev. Charlie Johnson; daughters, Anita Kay Bagwell Jordan and infant Marie Bagwell; and a brother-in-law, James O. Rusk Sr.
Survivors include his wfie, Evelyn Bates Bagwell; two sons, Wayne (Willette) Bagwell and Bill (Belinda) Bagwell; two sisters, Imogene “Jean” Bagwell Rusk and Mary Ann Bagwell (James) Lee; a brother, James David “Tootsie” (Martha) Bagwell; three granddaughters; three grandsons; a stepgrandson; two great-granddaughters; and three great-grandsons.
The family expresses their gratitude and thanks to the staff of Cullman Long Term Care and Rehab Center, Folsom Center and Omega Hospice, and Dr. Gregory Meiman, for their kindness and compassion during Mr. Bagwell’s illness.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Omega Hospice or one’s favorite charity.
