Mrs. Ila Mae Stallings Jones

Funeral Services for Mrs. Ila Mae Stallings Jones, age 88 of Cullman, will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Spring Hill Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery, with Rev. Frank Wood and Ken Dees officiating. She will lie-in-state at the church for one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Jones was born on March 20, 1925 in Baxter, TN to the late Yancy and Sarah Johnson Stallings. She died on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Cullman Long Term Care. She was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church, and had a Sunday School attendance record of 57 years, prior to entering the nursing home in 2009. Ila was also well known for her work at Dairy Queen as the dining room attendant from 1994 until 2009.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 32 years, Alvin Verlie Jones and she was the last of her twelve siblings.

Survivors include her – Daughter – Rhonda (Larry) James; one Son – Harold Watson (Myra) Jones; five 5 – Grandchildren – Tina (Tony) Jones, Teresa (Dwayne) Wooten, Michelle (Matt) Daily, Ryan Reynolds & Cody Lee James; six, 6 – Great-Grandchildren – Mikayla Ryan, Camryn Ryan, Aaiden Jones, Isabella Jones, Tyler Kemp & Sadie Wooten; one Great-Great-Grandchild – Asher Ryan; and a host of Nieces, Nephews & other Family.

The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Saturday, September 21, 2013, from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
