Mr. James “Jim” A. Parris of Decatur Alabama, formerly of Cullman Alabama passed away on August 13, 2015 at his residence at the age of 87. He was born in Helicon on October 29, 1927 to Lucius L. and Maggie McCoy Parris. He is preceded in death by his parents, First Wife: Wilma Shedd Parris, Brother: Troy Parris, Sisters: Ruth Swaim, Louise Benefield, Eddie Nevins, Azalee Hood and Step-Son: Bobby Letson.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at Moss Funeral Home Chapel in Cullman at 3:00 P.M. with interment in Cullman Memory Gardens.
Survivors are: Wife: Edith Letson Parris, Daughter: Micki Parris, Son: Jeff (Leslie) Parris, Grandchild: Brianna Parris, Step-Daughters: Brenda (Don) Suggs, Kay Letson, Step-Son: Tim W. (Jenny) Letson, 5 Step-Grandchildren and 4 Step-Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at Moss Funeral Home from 1:00 P.M. until service time at 3:00 P.M.
