He is survived by his wife Arlene Parson; son, James E. Parson Jr. (Erin); daughter, Christine Parson; 6 grandchildren: Tiffany Parson Spradling (Alex); Zeb Parson, Paige Parson, Devin Tamayo, Sebastian Tamayo and Aiden Tamayo; 2 great granddaughters, his only surviving sister, Elaine Perkins (Buddy) and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
