Mrs. Janie C. Brooks of Cullman Alabama passed away on May 14, 2015 at her residence at the age of 83. She was born in Birmingham on November 25, 1931 to Henry Clarence and Mary W. Kelly Johnson. She is preceded in death by her parents and her son: Raymond E. Brooks.
Funeral services will be on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at 1:30 P.M. at Pleasant View Baptist Church in Holly Pond with Rev. Randy Bertram officiating. Mrs. Brooks will lie in state for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Moncrief Cemetery in Gardendale.
Survivors are: Husband: Ralph Derriel Brooks Sr., Daughter: J. Marietta (Greg) Davis, Son: R. Derriel Jr. (Debra) Brooks, Brother: H.C. “Pete” (Juanita) Johnson, Five Grandchildren and Fourteen Great Grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Saturday, May 16, 2015 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Moss Funeral Home.
