Moss-Service Funeral Home of Cullman is in charge on arrangements.
Mr. York passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born on February 26, 1927 in Cullman to Otto York and Alma Peinhardt York. Mr. York was a retired machinist at Americold and a farmer, and had served his country during WW II. He is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Evelyn Moody, Rosa Lee Smith and Josephine Hartwig, and three brothers, Harry York, Alvin "Jack" York and Otto York.
Survivors include his wife, Ramona Mauter York; two daughters, Glenda York and Lisa (Bobby) Harkness; one granddaughter, Jordan Ellis; two sister-in-law's Melba (Grady) Talley and Moveline York.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 11, 2010 from 5:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
