Don is preceded in death by his parents and sister Martha Lee McBrayer. He is survived by his sisters Jolene (John) Luna and Linda Bray, brother Scottie McBrayer, nieces Serena Latorre and Marsha Wallace, and nephews Brian Thornton, Stephen Bray, Corey Bray and Joseph “Billy Jo” Luna. Bill Bell, Brad Thornton, Stephen Bray, Corey Bray, Joseph Luna and Jacob Latorre will serve as pallbearers. Don loved Alabama football and was a longtime employee at McDonalds here in town. Everyone there thought the world of him and frequently paid visits during his time at the hospital. Don will be missed by all that knew him.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, September 16, 2025, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at Moss Service Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Bethlehem West Cemetery, located off Alabama Hwy 157. Moss Service Funeral Home directing.
