Funeral services for Laverne Blackwood Reid, 93, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 17, 2011, at Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Bob Kurtz officiating, with burial in Herring Cemetery in Massey.
Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Reid died Friday, July 15, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Oct. 4, 1917, to Isaac and Annie Sandlin Blackwood. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cecil Reid; a granddaughter, Debbie Penn; and two brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors include three daughters, Andryne (Rufus) Penn, Janice (Jerry) Laney and Sandra (Danny) Woodard; six grandchildren, Craig Laney, Sherri Edgil, Eric Laney, Molly Woodard, Matthew Laney and Lisa Woodard; and six great-grandchildren, Josh Foster, Connor Laney, Carson Laney, Dante Twitty, Sarah Laney and Grant Laney.
