Lavonne made me welcome the first time I met her - and every time that I saw her after that.  I know that she loved Fred and her family with all her heart.  She was so proud of her family.  She never met a stranger and always loved having visitors.  She was a lovely caring person who will be greatly missed!

I am so glad that I got to meet and talk to such a precious lady, wish I could have known her better.

I enjoyed vonne living with me and wendy she was a joy to be around. Me her would set and talk before I would go to work she would tell me all about her Family she loved talking about her beloved Fred she told me all about his job and the bridge building. I will miss her being with us. No that's wrong i miss her already. This home is empty without her i would take off at lunch and come by and check on her she loved that.I have come to love her very much vonne till we meet again in the rapture for that meeting in the air when jesus stands up and calls his children home and the graves gives up its dead to meet him in the sky.till then my friend rest in peace. Grandma always loved me like her own grandchild.  I will forever cherish the childhood memories that were made at her house, full of Love and adventure.  You will forever be missed but I know you are right where you should be and could not be happier.

Ill never forget her beautiful smile and sweet voice She was a wonderful lady.

She was a very sweet lady. She was very good to me when I was working at salon nouveau. She actually let me carry her to my state Board exam as my live model. That says alot for a newbie working on your head. She was a trooper. Haven't seen her in many years but I know she was just as sweet as ever. Prayers for all the family

A memory about your momma, that's easy.  Your momma was the absolute example of a southern matriarch and she loved it.  That farm and farmhouse was her land, her territory.  When I think of the farm, I think of family.  Kids everywhere, adults everywhere and dogs and cats roaming around begging for a treat that your momma would slip them.  Whether you were swinging on the porch swing, enjoying some form of outdoor entertainment, standing in the kitchen and talking  while she cooked some of those great vegetables your daddy grew or watching NASCAR or football in the living room, your house was filled with the word called family.  That was your momma's doing, she was proud of it and she did it beautifully.

We will miss her my mom loved her soo much were thinking about all of you.

I sooo miss my mom! I am so thankful I got to spend the past two months of her life taking care of her at my house.  She loved going to the river feeding the fish and sitting on the front porch with coco and babygirl waiting for me to get home from work.  I looked forward to coming home everyday.  She would tell me a new story she had listen to from her audio books I checked out from the cullman library thanks to the help of Lisa Coleman and she enjoyed talking with max when he could spare his time.  I could go on for ever with the many memories we made in such a short time and long time also when she brought me back to life after our accident in florida and taking us on vacation every year across the country.  She is the strongest woman I know and I pray that I can be as strong as her. I love and miss her so much. Please mom rip in heaven!

As the oldest daughter of the Von Thurman I am so proud to have a mother and a father that were the most loving caring and giving parents that were married 58 years , mother  just wanted to take care of everybody and Missed dad so much. mother is with that now with the Lord , she had many friends and loved ones truly blessed. My dearly loved ones from "out at the Thurman Farm", I was so heartbroken to hear of the loss of this one who has been so dear to the Oden clan for these many cherished years...please know that while we celebrate with you her well lived life, a part of our hearts know that things will never be "quite" the same here on Earth...the comforting news is, Vonne shared with us the way in which we may one day all be reunited.
