Mrs. Lorene Farmer Moon of Simcoe passed away on May 5, 2010 at Hanceville Nursing Home and Rehab at the age of 93. Mrs. Moon was born on February 19, 1917 in Georgia to John Eli and Martha Louella Gentry Farmer. She is preceded in death by her husband: Curtis Moon.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 8, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Simcoe Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Baker officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Mrs. Moon will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church.
Survivors are: 1 Son: Ronnie (June) Moon of Fairview, 1 Daughter: Lavone Moon of Simcoe, 1 Grandson: Dewayne (Karen) Moon, 1 Granddaughter: Trina (Edward) Smith, 4 Great Grandchildren: Weston Moon, Landon Moon, Amber Smith and Virginia Smith.
Visitation will be on Friday May 7, 2010 from 6 P.M. until 9 P.M. at Moss Service Funeral Home.
