Peggy work at Social Security in Birmingham, AL until she retired in 1982. She also worked with our father as a part time evangelistic singer. She served in many areas at Wilkes Baptist Church, Walnut Grove Methodist Church in Midfield, AL, Unity Grove Campground in Reform, AL, Maxwell Campground in Haleyville, AL, Hartselle Campground in Hartselle, AL, Brasher Springs in Gallant, AL and doing mission work in Brazil, Israel and other locations. Her hobbies included traveling with the Airstream groups all over the United States, singing and her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Watson Craft, of Cullman, AL; oldest son, Kenneth Howard Craft of Midfield, AL; parents: Thomas Ratliff and Della Pauline Hammond Ratliff, of Decatur in Morgan County; and two brothers: Thomas (Buddy) Ratliff, Jr. of Fairfax, VA and Herbert Eugene Ratliff of Decatur, AL.
She is survived by her son, Thomas Eugene Craft and wife, Jan; daughter, Melissa Lynne Craft Smith; five grandchildren: Kelly Danyell Craft Rutledge and husband Lane, Kendall Shea Craft Blevins and husband Matt, Wesley Ryan Smith and wife Alyna, Kevin Andrew Smith and wife Melissa and Clayton Richard Smith all of Birmingham, AL and eight great grandchildren: Logan and Jake Rutledge, Kinsley McCurry, Sarah Beth, Hayley, Baker, Avery and Peyton Smith.
Her Graveside Service is on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Hopewell Cemetery in Hanceville, AL. Moss Service Funeral Home is in charge of services .
