

Funeral Services for Mrs. Margaret Loretta Hodges Wasilewski, age 78 of Cullman, will be Thursday, December 29, at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Father Patrick Egan, O.S.B. officiating. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. A Rosary service will be held on Wednesday night at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m.

Mrs. Wasilewski passed away Sunday, December 25, 2011 at her residence. She was born in East Providence, Rhode Island on May 5, 1933.
Margaret was born to the late, George and Margaret Grant Hodges. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, working on the Bereavement Committee, and with the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Following Nicholson File, her family moved from Rhode Island, to Indiana for fifteen years, then to Cullman over thirty years ago. She worked in the cafeteria at Cullman K-Mart for over ten years; and was known for her famous “meatballs and peppers” by her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leon Wasilewski; one brother, George Hodges; two great-grandchildren, Weston and Adalaya Riggs.
Survivors include four 4 – Sons – Leo (Kathi) Wasilewski of Anderson, Indiana; Ray (Cindy) Wasilewski of Clive, Iowa; Bob (Felicia) Wasilewski and Kevin (Cindee) Wasilewski both of Cullman; four 4 – Daughters – Peggy (Ron) Reger of Carmel, Indiana; Pat (Roger) Clark of Portage, Michigan; Lisa (Frank) Mariano and Christy (Joe Colvin) Wasilewski both of Cullman; two 2 – Brothers – Paul (Mary Jane) Hodges of Melbourne, Florida and Warren (Nancy) Hodges of West Greenwich, Rhode Island; 24 – Grandchildren; 23 - Great-Grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home for visitation on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 from 5:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary service at 7:30 p.m.
