Mrs. Margie Brown Burns

Graveside Services for Mrs. Margie Burns, age 86 of Cullman, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Livingston Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Ron Collett officiating.

Mrs. Burns was born in Fairfield on August 25, 1927 to the late Lofton & Vivian Delap Brown. She passed away at Cullman Long Term Care on Thursday, June 19, 2014. She was a longtime member at Livingston Chapel Methodist Church in Crane Hill.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 64 years, Ellis Cortez Burns and one son, Steven Burns.

Survivors include her Daughter – Sondra Laney of Holly Pond; one Son – Ronnie (Linda) Burns of Madison; one Sister – Billie Dourrieu of Baton Rouge, LA; 5 – Granddaughters – Elisabeth (Will) Poire’,Shea (Dennis) Mobley, Janie (Brian) Mauter, Christy (Wesley) Ward & Mary Leo; 4 – Grandsons – Heath (Amy) Laney, Alex (Lettie) Burns, Jonathan Burns & Ben (Holly) Burns; and 14 – Great-Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, June 21, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
