

A loving, devoted wife , daughter and aunt. Mary loved her dogs and cats and called them her "babies".She learned accounting and payroll skills. She worked many years for a transportation company. She loved her work. She was a professional, self assured and assertive woman. She was an independent business woman who focused on the positive.She had years of motivational training in the Amway Corporation. She was an inspiration to all. She never missed sending birthday cards to all of her nieces and nephews. She carried herself with beauty and grace. She reluctantly joined Jim in the Amway business in 1967. She soon excelled at recruiting new people for their Amway business. They became GOLD Ruby Directors and served people in many different states.They were active in the Amway business until they passed.They loved attending Amway conventions throughout the United States.
Mary leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 63 and a half years James Ray Mechaw; her parents, Pete and Lillian Hall; her sisters, Helen Hall Hoffman, Martha Stanford, Grace Sturgill, and her brothers, Gene T. Hall, Fred Hall, Douglas Hall and Bill Hall.
A visitation for Mary will be held Wednesday, October 22, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Moss-Service Funeral Home Followed by a celebration of life funeral service. A graveside committal service will be held Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Bell Springs Cemetery in Falkville, AL.
Thank You to Betty Glover from Boonville, MS for her faithful friendship with Mary since their high school graduation in 1958. They kept their friendship alive with phone calls and annual visits for their birthdays for over 67 years. Thank you to her niece Judy Gray for her endless sacrifice, her loving dedication and conscientious care of Mary. Judy tirelessly cared for Mary. She was her advocate in the healthcare system and insured Mary received the best care possible. Judy left her home and came to Cullman to take care of Mary's daily needs. Thank you to Mike Davin who was a devoted neighbor and friend. He supported Mary during Jim's lengthy illness by caring for her pets, taking out the garbage, picking up her mail and numerous other undertakings.
