Melba Louise Holmes Christian

Melba Louise Christian of Cullman Alabama passed away on June 28, 2016 at The Folsom Center at the age of 70. She was born in Cullman on May 20, 1946 to John and Ivelene Reeves Holmes. She is preceded in death by: Parents, Brother: Hershel Holmes, Son-In-Law: Daniel Wilhite.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 1, 2016 at Moss Funeral Chapel at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Jerry Martin officiating. Interment will be in Union Hill Cemetery in Morgan County.

Survivors are: Daughter: Cindy Wilhite of Vinemont, Son: Dale Thompson of Hanceville, Grandchildren: Kyle (Tara) Wilhite and Lexi Wilhite, Great Grandchildren: Mercedes, Bentlie and Lincoln Wilhite, Brothers: Hollis (Sue) Holmes, Don Holmes, Sisters: Nancy Moore, Linda Copeland, a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Moss Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.

The family wants to express a special thank you to the 4th floor staff at The Folsom Center for the love you gave so freely to Melba. We could not have done it without you. In recognition of 2 very special employees at RPS- David Curnel and Craig Gaines. Thank you both for going above and beyond your required duties. Thank you for showing her you cared and that compassion and kindness still exist even on the darkest days. We are forever grateful.
