He served our country in the Coast Guard, where he retired as a Chief Warrant Officer U.S.C.G./ C.G.R. in 1999. He also served The City of Birmingham as a Police Officer for 35 years.
Mr. Foster is survived by daughters: Teresa (Rodney) Looney, and Angie (Brett) Robbins; sons: Frank (Angie) Foster, and James "Cleo" Higgins; sister: Patricia (Ernie) Shields; and brother: Johnny (Shirley) Foster; grandchildren: John and Josh Looney, Caleb (Ashley) Foster, and Jonnie Licklider.
Mr. Foster was preceded in death by his parents: John and Kathryn (Lindsey) Foster.
A Coast Guard military honor service for Mr. Foster will be held Friday, March 6, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Alabama National Cemetery, 3133 Highway 119, Montevallo, AL 35115.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. Foster's memory may be made to St Paul's Building Fund, 513 4th Ave. SE. Cullman, Alabama 35055 US.
