Ms. Minnie Louise "Minnie Lou" Shikle Smith

Funeral Services for Ms. Minnie Louise Smith, age 83 of Cullman, will be Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. in the Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Center Grove Cemetery, with Bro. Jeremy Calloway officiating.

Ms. Smith passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born on November 12, 1928 in Cullman to the late Robert Shikle and Maggie Goodlett Shikle. Minnie enjoyed playing bingo, embroidery, solving word puzzles; and was well known for her “Fried Chicken and Fried Apple Pies”; and she loved and beloved her family and grandchildren.

Ms. Smith is preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Mary Sid Green and Pearlee Smith; and two brothers, Billy Shikle and J.C. Shikle.

Survivors include her two 2 – Daughters – Judy (Randy) Connell and Treasa (Herman) Hinkle; five 5 – Grandchildren; and eight 8 – Great-Grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home for visitation on Monday, April 2, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Rodney Watwood, Jeremiah Connell, Nathan Holcomb, Matthew Holcomb, Shane Rusk and Trent Moore.
