Norma Gail (Purvis) Quick

Norma is preceded in death by her husband, James Euell Quick; her parents, John Sparks Purvis and Ollie Mae Olice Purvis; Sisters: Juanita (Yerb) Glaze, Brunelle (Norman) Sexton, and Betty Joyce (Bert) Roberts; Brothers: John S. (Kathryn) Purvis, Melvin (Francis) Purvis, Daniel (Martha) Purvis, Donald (Betty) Purvis, Jimmy (Janice) Purvis, and Gerald (Hazel) Purvis.

Norma worked as the secretary to Dental Service of UAB for approximately 15 years and was a member of Five Mile Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, AL for 64 years. She was an avid watcher of Fox News for the later part of her life, she loved reading, listening to music, gardening, and adored living at her home on Smith Lake since 2001.

Norma is survived by her daughters: Teri (Randy) Braden and Jami (Wade) Payne; Grandchildren: Karli (Pete) Maloney and Casey (Matt) Helms, as well as 6 Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 26, 2024 from 1:00 PM until the celebration of Norma's life which will begin 2:00 PM at Moss Service Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Fairview West Cemetery.
