I did not know Mr. DeMonia or the family. I live in Meridian, Mississippi, the town where he took his last breath. ....It broke my heart to read about his story and know that he was here in my town having to fight for his life. It makes no sense to me that he had to endure such a time lapse as they searched for an ICU bed for his heart condition. It is beyond heartbreaking...May the family know that many strangers care and are praying for them. I thank them for their bravery in sharing his story to help and protect others. I can't explain how our society has become so selfish , but I, for one, will continue to care about others (receiving the vaccines and masking) - to help people like him who lived his whole life thinking of others May God bless his family. 🙏🏼

My heart is breaking tonight having just learned of the circumstances of Ray's death and the difficulties his family has been forced to face due to hospitals being filled to overflowing with unvaccinated Covid patients. Thank you to Ray's family for having the courage in the midst of your grief to tell your story and encourage everyone to get vaccinated. I wish I could have known Ray. It is evident that he was a great husband, father, and member of his community. May you be comforted and uplifted by wonderful memories , as well as by messages of love and encouragement from all of us across this country who are also saddened by the circumstances of Ray's death.

To the DeMonia Family,

I am Canadian from Vancouver, BC. I read about your Dad on CNN. I cannot say how sad I am for all of you that you lost your family Patriarch this way. Ray was a gem of a man and his passing has left a huge whole in the family. I send you prayers of Love, Strength and Compassion to endure the days a head.

Please to my USA neighbors please get vaccinated for covid. Don't let this happen to one of your family members, when all it takes is two shots. Do this for your family, your children and your grandchildren.

To the DeMonia Family thank you for sharing your father's life. You have my love and deepest sympathies.

Joanne, Vancouver, BC. Canada
