Funeral Services will be January 18, 2015 at New Prospect Baptist Church at 2:00 PM. He will lie in state at the church from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. With interment in the adjoining cemetery. Bro. Dillon Calvert officiating.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Saturday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM
Survivors are his wife: Beverly Elkins, Daughter: Brenda (Charlie) Pettus, Son: Gary (Anita) Elkins, Sisters: Lynda Crawford, Ruth Keeton, Maxine Shedd and Betsy Pendley, 3 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and Brothers: James , Charles and Gene Elkins, Sisters: Pauline Williams and Betty Joyce Nix.
