Rosalie loved baking her teacakes for everyone, gardening and traveling. She especially loved going on the annual Mardi Gras Trip. Her family and friends were very important to her. She will be greatly missed by many.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Willie Mae Blackwood of Cullman, AL; father, Henry Starling of Cullman, AL.; husband, Gertis Stevens; daughter, Carol Ann Aby (Carroll Jr.); sister, Mary Sue Thrasher and brothers: Dale Starling, Leldon Blackwood, and Ovie Blackwood.
Rosalie is survived by daughters: Kathy Kelly (Rick), Richton, MS and Sheila Whitlock (Randy), Nashville, TN.; grandchildren: Trey, Jennifer, Shannon, Patrick, Katie, Casey and Sydney, 12 great grandchildren, sister-in-law June Blackwood and several nieces and nephews.
Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home. Her graveside service will be at 1:00 on Thursday, September 27, 2018, at Emeus Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
