I met Sacit when he came to our church in Istanbul, Turkey as a teenager. We kept in touch when he moved to the US. I helped him move to Tampa to start as a student at River Bible Institute. He traveled with me many times to assist me when I would come to preach in Florida. He was like family to us. He had a huge heart for the Lord and for people. He was a great soul-winner. He left us too soon. Sacit got his rewards and his glorified body in heaven. I will miss him! See you soon on the clouds Sacit, “one who bows before God”

Sacit was so funny, making everyone laugh with his barely understandable accent  and belly laugh. He was the biggest servant and faithful till his last day. 
Here he is pictured as “Uncle Tommy” in kids church catching my son, for his first encounter the Fire of God 7 years ago. 
He could out flyer any one and was down for anything to win more  souls, but most of all I was impressed by his ability to pack a box truck that nothing seemed to fit. 
I will miss our year end parties where he played a big part and “role”. (Pun intended) as Santa unscripted telling us “‘Merry Christmas  ya filthy animals.” the game host who helped us honor Pastor Rodney, and many many more characters through out the years.
 He loved to make people laugh, sometimes not always on purpose which made it funnier. 

To honor his life I plan to serve with all my heart to expand the Kingdom even more,  win more souls and  to never take anyone for granted cause you never know how much time you have  or the last time your see them and Recognize  every day is a gift because you never know when the last day will come and eternity is real. 

Earth lost a warrior but heaven gained a saint. 
Well done faithful servant. 
We will see you again. Cheer us on as we run our race!!

Sacit came to the meetings at our church in Istanbul last year, and that’s where we met him. We have so many lovely memories of him. One of them was his brilliant impression of a scene from a film. You will always be remembered in the deepest part of our hearts, dear friend. We are sure that he is happy in Heaven now.

He always hosted me whenever I came back from Africa to come to the conferences in Tampa.  I remember when I first met Thomas haha he helped with my bus routes for the outreach department. Thank you! 

The last time I saw Thomas was in Baltimore at The River Baltimore for the New Year Service.  We celebrated together bringing in 2025.  Then we spoke for a long time on the phone afterwards about many things. 

The last time I spoke to Thomas was January 2026 and heard his updates on life and getting the breakthrough with his health but we texted throughout the year. 

We actually celebrated 2024 and 2025 New Year together. I am saddened I could not make the funeral but I will see you soon brother.  Have fun in Heaven!  Love you!

My sincere condolences to the family. Thomas will truly be missed. I will always cherish the many sweet memories we shared through the Outreach Department at River Church Tampa.

One memory that stands out is when we went flyering after class. Thomas stopped our group and took the time to teach us how to properly place flyers on the door handles of each home. He emphasized that the flyers were anointed and that every single one represented a soul. That moment reflected who he was—a true man of God, a man of excellence, and someone who cared deeply about reaching people for Christ.

Thomas didn’t just teach with words; he led by example. His passion for winning souls, his servant’s heart, and his love for Jesus left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy will continue through the many lives he touched and the seeds he helped plant for the Kingdom of God.

Thank you, Thomas, for the impact you made on so many lives. I will forever treasure the memories and the lessons you shared with us.

Though our hearts grieve today, we rejoice knowing that you are in the presence of the Lord you faithfully served. Until we meet again, my brother.

When I first met  Sacit thomas. We called him Saj back then in the redhead in the background and wow this picture was taken by a good friend and Saj was the Star as always. Very young friendly and full of Joy and love foe everyone. He will greatly missed.

I will always remember the passion and love and Joy that Thomas carried everywhere he went.  He helped me in business and ministry and would pray for me over the phone. I've Known Sacit thomas for 14 years.  We attended bible school and college st The same time. But we became close friends and co minister s the last few years.  Thomas came out to help the Pastor I was serving.  I instantly reconnected with Thomas.  He was loving joyful always passionate great zeal for evangelism and preaching Jesus.  He operated in the five fold ministry of Evangelist.  I was so blessed to have known him and be his dear friend and sister in Christ. With a heavy heart, I mourn the loss of my dear friend whose love for God and for people was evident to all. I’ve only known Sacit a short while, a few short years. But in that time he made a huge impact on my life. His extreme joy and fervor for life, his fire for the Lord and his business drive impacted me. He called me the day before he passed out of the blue just to talk. He even prayed for me.  I’m sure it was God’s way of letting me say goodbye. I’ll see you again Sacit. You’ve been a good friend to me and will have a host of people you’ve led to the Lord greet you in heaven. Sacit is such a wonderful man, we met at The River Tampa, he would phone me out of the blue to hear what God was doing in Thailand & South East Asia and would always  encourage us.  He had such a heart for the lost and we were discussing and talking about Him travelling out to Thailand sometime to do meetings.  From the first time I met him, i was so overwhelmed with his love for the Lord and people.   A true man of God.

This picture is from when Evangelist Sacit came and preach at our church in New Jersey.   I have never met a man so full of the joy of the Lord.  The last message I received from Thomas was when he called me on my birthday April 20th and sang  happy birthday to me.  He brought joy everywhere he went.

When I went to kids fire week he was teaching and God used him to help me understand the belief in healing after that every camp meeting me and my family would call him Uncle Thomas

Sacit was such a wonderful person.
He was one of my niece’s favorite teachers in Kids Church. Even after she moved away, he would always ask about her. When I visited church in Tampa at Christmas, I found out he had become friends with my brother. I prayed God would send him really good friends and I told Sacit that. He truly was an answer to prayer. He will be missed greatly. ❤️

My heart is truly broken as I write these words. Sacit was more than just a friend—he was my dear brother in Christ. It is hard to put into words the pain of knowing that he is no longer with us on this side of eternity.

What I will always remember about Sacit was his kind spirit, his smile, and the way he made people feel seen and valued. He carried a heart that reflected the love of God and touched so many lives in ways he may never have fully realized. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and encouragement to those around him.

While I grieve his loss deeply, I find peace in knowing that as believers, death is not goodbye forever. Sacit has entered into the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, where there is no more pain, suffering, or sorrow. Though our hearts ache, Heaven has gained a faithful son.

Thank you, Sacit, for your friendship, your faith, and the impact you made on my life. Your memory will forever remain in my heart. I am grateful for every conversation, every laugh, and every moment shared. Until we meet again in glory, I will cherish the blessing of having known you.
