Bird, as many knew him by, was loved by everyone, never met a stranger and enjoyed talking to everyone he met.
He began his career as a truck driver and later became an entrepreneur of many trades. He was a true adventurist that lived life to its fullest. From bungee jumping, scuba diving, rock climbing, skydiving, and riding his Harley, to flying planes - he never missed an opportunity to experience life.
He was a member of the Falkville Masonic Lodge, and an active member of New Life Church in Falkville, who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and his cat, Callie.
Bird is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mazzie Twilley; his daughter Tara (Fred) Yarbrough; and his daughter Stacey (Jonathan) Smith; grandchildren, Taylor (Bradley) Glass, Kayla Yarbrough, Baylee Yarbrough, Savannah Smith, Maverick (Leigha) Smith; two great grandchildren Presley and Hadley; his siblings Charles Douglas Twilley, Patricia (Gary) Makemson, his brother Randy Dale Twilley.
Bird was preceded in death by his father Ozell Bonnie Twilley and his mother Alva Mae McFadden; his brother Robert Joseph Twilley.
A celebration of life visitation for Bird will be held Wednesday, September 29, 2021 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a celebration of life funeral service at 1:00 PM, officiated by Bro. Phillip Hardin. Burial will follow at Cullman City Cemetery. A special thank you to Comfort Care Hospice of Cullman County. In Lieu of flowers, Bird was an advocate for saving the wildlife, please feel free to make donations to your favorite animal shelter or conservation.
