Mrs. Theresa Ragland

Funeral services for Mrs. Theresa Weissend Ragland, age 102 1/2 of Cullman, will be held on Monday, March 22, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Cullman City Cemetery, with Abbott Cletus Meagher, O.S.B.; Father John O’Donnell, O.S.B. and Father Patrick Egan, O.S.B. officiating

Mrs. Ragland passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Woodland Village Nursing Home. She was born on September 16, 1907 in Cullman to Peter A. Weissend and Josephine Faugh Weissend. She had been the lunchroom manager at Sacred Heart for 34 years; and had worked in the gift shop at the Ava Maria Grotto. Mrs. Ragland is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roy H. Ragland and her son-in-law, Kendrick Elder.

Survivors include two Daughters, Ruth Elder and Martha (Horace) Brown; nine Grandchildren, Terri (Jack) Kimbel, Rebecca (John) Davis, Horace (Lara) Brown, Lane (Lonnie) Elder, Beth (Garry) Allison, Lori Willoughby, Steve (Kelly) Elder, John (Lori) Elder and Chris (Debbie) Elder; and twenty Great-Grandchildren.

The visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, March 21, 2010 from 5:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service held at 7:30 p.m.
