Walter Thomas Brown

Walter was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Lystra Missionary Baptist Church since he was 16 years old. Walter delivered gas for over 30 years in Arab, Cullman, & Decatur areas.

He was preceded in death by his son, Phillip Edwin Brown; grandson, Thomas T. Brown and parents: Noah & Annie Brown.

Walter is survived by his wife of 65 years, Nemridge Brown; daughter, Fonda Beth Coffman; sons: Roger Terrell Brown (Cindy Kam) & Thelbert Eugene Brown; daughter-in-law, Rita Brown; brother, Jimmy Lee Brown (Jan); 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 13, 2017 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Moss Service Funeral Home. The family will celebrate the life of Walter Thomas Brown on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 2:00PM at Lystra Missionary Baptist Church. He will lie in state from 1:00PM until 2:00PM. Interment will follow in Lystra Cemetery.
