Mr. Wendell Cecil Skinner

Funeral Services for Mr. Wendell Cecil Skinner, age 70 of Vinemont, will be held on Monday, May 16, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. in the Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Cullman Memory Gardens with Rev. Larry Graham and Minister Robert Miller officiating.

Mr. Skinner passed away on Friday, May 13, 2011 at Trinity Medical Center in Birmingham. He was born in Cullman County on January 15, 1941 to the late Ervil and Jewel Stewart Skinner. With over 30 years of service at Cullman Products, he retired to his farm in West Point, where he shared his love for life, nature and his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Sheila Newcomb and two brothers, Felton Skinner and Ray Skinner.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years Patricia Johns Skinner, a Daughter – Wendy (Randy) Childers; one Son – Wesley Skinner; Grandbaby – Sadie Pearson; one Sister – Edna (John) Perrine; three Brothers – Harold (Debra) Skinner, Larry (Sissy) Skinner and Roger (Joyce) Skinner.

The family will receive friends here at the funeral home on Sunday, May 15, 2011, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Lieu-of-flowers.
