William "Bill" Lay, age 82, of Cullman, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. Bill was born in California on December 3, 1941 to James Ted and Jewell Kelly Lay.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Sunday January 21, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Center Grove Baptist Church with Dr. David Chambers and Pastor Jason Vincent officiating. Interment will follow services in Center Grove Cemetery. Bill will lie-in-state at the church for one hour prior to the service.

A visitation will be held on Saturday January 20, 2024 at Moss Service Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Survivors are: Wife: Elna Jo Lay, Daughter: Deresa Ball of Cullman, Son: Lance (Rachael) Lay of Cullman, Sister: Laverne Roberts of Decatur, Brothers:Terry (Brenda) Lay of Hartselle, Ricky (Shelia) Lay of Cullman, Roger Lay and friend Lois Lay of Cullman, Brothers-In-Law and Sisters-In Law: Rayford and Brenda Ashley, Carolyn Ashley, Jacky and Patricia Yeager, Grandchildren: Katie Ball, Tyler Ball, Ashlynn Allcorn, Jon Allcorn, Chase Allcorn, Bryant Davis, and other family and many friends.
