Bernard Victor Taylor

Victor was a hardworking and dedicated man who retired from Martin Marietta (formerly Culpeper Stone Company) after 40 years of loyal service. Beyond his work, Victor lived for the outdoors and the simple pleasures of life. He had a deep, lifelong passion for horses—whether he was fox hunting, trail riding, or working with draft horses and mules. Above all, he cherished time spent taking long drives, visiting with friends, and being surrounded by his family.

Victor was preceded in death by his beloved wife of nearly 58 years, Carolyn B. Taylor.

He is survived by his five children: Penny Martin (Jeffrey), Jeff Taylor (Alice), Robin Holloway (Dave), Bernie Taylor (Teresa), and Paige Walker (John). He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Tiffany Leake, Kelly Martin, Casey Martin, Amanda Woods, Justin Taylor, Carla Childress, Holly Childress, Brant Fletcher, Joshua Fincham, Brandon Fincham, Victoria Taylor, Dakota Taylor, Taylor Baker, Jenna Walker, Hayden Walker, and Emma Chapman, as well as a rich legacy of numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a horse or dog rescue of your choice.
