25, 2021 in Fairfax, Virginia with her loving husband, Chuck, by her side.
Brenda was born on August 2, 1955 in Culpeper County, Virginia to Goldie S. Hensley
and the late Thomas S. Hensley, Sr. Brenda worked for over 30 years at the Virginia

Brenda loved her family, animals of all kinds, farming and gardening, art and beauty,
and the joys of retirement. Most of all, she loved her husband, son, daughter-in-law,
and grandchildren and spoiled them with her amazing homecooked foods and gifts. She
was a loving wife, daughter, sister, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, aunt, cousin
and friend to all who knew her. She was a great listener, woman of faith, prayer
warrior, and she loved all God’s creatures great and small.
Brenda was married for 43 years to her husband and best friend Charles
Edward Fox, Jr. They met early in their respective careers at VDOT, and they were
constant companions and friends for over four decades.
Mrs. Fox is survived by her mother, Goldie S. Hensley of Boston, Virginia; her husband,

Georgia, and his wife, Christa Fox, her grandchildren, Ashten Fox and Bryson Fox; her

Psalm 27
The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of
my life—of whom shall I be afraid?
When the wicked advance against me to devour me, it is my enemies and my foes who
will stumble and fall.
Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me,
even then I will be confident.
One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of
the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in
his temple.
