

Carson Lee Estes, 89, of Culpeper, VA passed away at his residence Monday, August 18, 2014. He was born January 23, 1925 in Rixeyville, VA to Esmus Carson Estes and Anna Lee Compton Estes. Mr. Estes served his country in the U.S. Army; worked as a farmer, mechanic and a bus driver for the Culpeper County School system. He enjoyed gardening, the L.A. Dodgers, staying active and spending time with his family.
Surviving Mr. Estes are his children Tom LaBonte of Huntersville, NC, John LaBonte of Franklin, WV and Ann Malcom of Fredericksburg, VA; his grandchildren, Holly Riley, Diana LaBonte, Angie LaBonte, Heather LaBonte and Jennifer LaBonte; his great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Owens, Rachael Riley, Allyson Graves, Zack Jackson, Mikayla Jackson, Eric LaBonte and Amanda Kehl, his siblings, Virginia Smith, Lucille Comer and Phillip Estes, nephews, nieces and extended family. Mr. Estes was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Eva Hope Estes and his siblings, Archie Estes, Russell Estes and Eliza Caraway.
Funeral services were held in the chapel of Clore-English Funeral Home Sunday, August 24, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jessie Colwell conducting the service. A time of visitation was held one hour prior to the service. Interment was in the Culpeper National Cemetery, Chandler Street Monday, August 25, 2014 at noon. Military honors were given by the V.F.W. Post 2524 Honor Guard.
