Charles Lee Norris

Charles Lee “Charlie” Norris, 73, of South Boston, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. Born October 16, 1952, in Culpeper, Virginia, Charlie was the beloved son of R.Y. “Pete” and Peggy Norris.

A proud Hokie, Charlie graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Industrial Engineering. His career took him to several locations before retiring and settling in South Boston, Virginia. In the recent year, Charlie resided at The Harbor at Renaissance Memory Care in Greene County, where he received loving care.

Charlie was a devoted son, brother, father, and cherished friend. He is survived by his sister, Laura L. Norris of Dillwyn, Virginia; two sons, Will Norris of South Boston, Virginia, and Chris Norris (Alyssa Castro) of Washington, D.C.; and his faithful dog, Nala. He was preceded in death by his parents and niece, Ashley Elizabeth Partlow.

Charlie had a passion for the outdoors, enjoyed golfing, and loved taking long walks with Nala. Known for his lighthearted nature and quick wit, he delighted in joking with anyone gullible enough to fall for his antics.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the loving and dedicated staff at The Harbor and to all who have shown love, concern, and kindness during this difficult time—it has been a comforting blessing. May God bless each and every one of you.
