

Claude C. “Buddy” Inskeep, 73, of Culpeper, VA passed away peacefully at his home Thursday, August 30, 2012. He was born and raised in Culpeper; served proudly in the U.S. Navy for 8 years; retired from the Federal reserve Bank after 27 years and served as a Culpeper County Deputy for 16 years. He was an avid Civil War buff and loved relic hunting, fishing and restoring antique furniture. Buddy was a member of the Culpeper United Methodist Church for 66 years. His children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the apple of his eye. He loved spending time with them and never turned down an opportunity to attend their extra-curricular activities.
Buddy is survived by his wife, Joyce Inskeep of Culpeper, VA; his children, Jody Smith (James) of Dale City, VA, Lori Blankenship of Greenville, TN, Brenda Litton (Scott) of Gainesville, VA and Donnie Stettler, Jr. of Brightwood, VA; his grandchildren, Michelle Yates, Jessica England, Eddie “Skip” Cubbage, Hamilton Richards, Remington Richards, Stephanie Litton, Heather Levell, and Timony Nicholson and his great-grandchildren, “Nate” Yates, Brendan Yates, Jermey Yates, Alycea Freeman, JessaLynn England, Sarah Leavell, Briar Walker and Savannah McGuire. He is preceded in death by his parents C.W. Inskeep and Lucy Brown Inskeep and his brothers, John (Jack) Ashby Inskeep, Robert W. Inskeep.
Funeral services will be held in the Culpeper United Methodist Church, Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Randy Orndorff conducting the service. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery .
The family will receive friends Monday, September 3, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Clore-English Funeral Home, 11190 James Monroe Highway, Culpeper, VA.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Music Department of the Culpeper United Methodist Church or to the Kidney Foundation.
