

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Aylor Jenkins; one sister, Debbie Rider (Danny), two brothers, Allan Jenkins (Kristin) and Jamie Jenkins (Tiffany); his step-mother, Mary Releford Jenkins; one aunt, Lucy Howell, and nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Martha Ellen Fincham Jenkins and Lester R. Jenkins; and one brother, Wayne Jenkins.
Danny loved the Lord, always stood for what was right, and was totally committed to his family and friends. He is past president of the Culpeper Jaycees, a former employer of VDOT. He served in Viet Nam as a bodyguard for chaplains. Upon returning home he was employed at Rental Uniform Service; later proprietor of the Etlan General Store, and retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a rural letter carrier. While at the Etlan General Store he started a slow-pitch softball team that went to the national level. While employed with the U.S. Postal Service, Danny served as local steward, held office as secretary/treasurer and president, and was active with the VA Rural Letter Carriers Assoc. at the state and national levels, serving as state vice-president four years.
Danny loved sports, and in his younger days refereed high school football games, coached little league football and basketball, and managed the Rental Uniform Service slow-pitch soft ball team.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Clore-English Funeral Home, 11190 James Monroe Highway, Culpeper, VA at 12:00PM, Wednesday, January 29, 2025. Pastor Danny Yowell will conduct the service assisted by Danny Rider. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Allan Jenkins, Conner Jenkins,Denver Jenkins, Gary Jenkins, Jamie Jenkins, Ronnie Jenkins, Chuck Howell and Glen Yowell.
The family will receive friends one hour before service time.
