

Doris was a member of the Culpeper United Methodist Church since the age of 12. She was baptized at the pervious location (Davis Street) where the fire hall is now. She was a member of the Edith Burton Circle and the Wesleyan Fellowship Sunday School Class; enjoyed making Linus quilts and quilts for her granddaughters and was also a member of The Madison’s of Montpelier Chapter of the United States Daughters of the War of 1812.
After graduating from Culpeper County High School in 1954, she worked for C&P Telephone Co. of Virginia in Culpeper and then New England Telephone & Telegraph Company in Boston, MA. She retired from the Culpeper County School System in 1990, working at the School Board Office.
Surviving are two sons, Duane Clore and his wife Marie of Amissville, VA and David Clore and his wife Kristi of Brightwood, VA; her granddaughters Logan, Carly, Camryn, Madeline, Georgia and Willa; her brother Beverley B. Bradshaw and his wife Thelma and their children Michael and his wife Candy and Donna Mills and her husband Mark. Doris is also survived by her sister-in-law Tonya Clore of Brightwood, VA.
A funeral service will be held Monday, May 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Clore-English Funeral Home with Pastor Norma Jean Fellows officiating. Interment will immediately follow in the Culpeper Masonic Cemetery . A time of visitation will be Sunday, May 22, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Clore-English Funeral Home.
