Edith Stanley Jenkins

Edith Stanley Jenkins, 92, of Brandy Station, VA passed away in Dogwood Village, Orange, VA, Monday, July 11, 2011. Mrs. Jenkins was born to James Stanley and Lorraine Wolfrey Stanley, April 7, 1919; enjoyed her family, farming and gardening and was baptized at Crooked Run Baptist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Stanley are her sons, Jesse L. Jenkins, Jr. and his wife Anne and Frank Jenkins and his wife Alice, all of Brandy Station, VA; her siblings, Thelma Lutz, Elsie Lane, both of Orange, VA and Melcie Woodward of Castleton, VA. There are seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and one great, great-grandson. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jesse Lee Jenkins, Sr. and her siblings, Doug, Cecil, Ray Clyde and James Stanley, Louise Hawkins, Frances Deal and Catherine Wright.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Clore-English Funeral Home with Pastor Lee Brown conducting the service. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memory Gardens, Jeffersonton, VA.

The family will receive friends Friday evening, July 15, 2011, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Clore-English Funeral Home.
