She made her home in the tidewater area of Virginia before moving back to her hometown of Culpeper in 2010. Until her health began declining, she worked at Kids Central for several years and at Culpeper Early Head Start program where she was considered the resident grandmother, a role that she completely embraced and cherished, especially when reading to the children and giving them hugs. Liz was passionate about animals, but her constant companion was her rescue cat, Big Boy. Liz also enjoyed time with her family and friends, but she especially enjoyed family get togethers at Cindy’s home and eating out at local restaurants. Liz was outgoing and friendly to everyone she met, had a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh. She will be dearly missed and forever in the hearts of those she loved.

Hey Ms. Liz,

You finally have that big stage you wanted honey. Now don’t go strutting your way through them gates. You would always say, “A lady always walks with class.” One hand on your hip and the other in the air. I can see you now with your head turned to the side and that smirk on your face. You are truly a sweet sweet woman. May your family find peace during this time and remember you for that sense of humor that not all could understand. Rest well Ms. Liz.

I will always remember your beautiful smile every time I saw you and you would always tell me "How beautiful my blouses or outfit was and when I get tried of them to let you know that you would take them off of my hands" So now you have your own beautiful outfit with Angel wings and a big bright crown. Rest In Peace my friend and will miss you. My prayers are with Cindy, her Dad and the family

I will miss your sense of humor as you could keep us all in stitches. Your flexibility in sharing so many of your talents is going to be missed. From Chef Combo’s cooking activities to the animated story times, but especially the love you gave in holding and rocking those babies.
We will miss you! Hugs and love to your family and friends.
