Frances Ann Martin

Frances Ann Martin, 70, of Culpeper, VA passed away Sunday, July 19, 2017 at her residence. Ann was born in Rappahannock County to Mason Wharton and Frances Wharton June 6, 1945; enjoyed Nationals baseball, crossword puzzles and back porch visits.

Surviving Ann is her son Robert (Robby) Lee Martin, Jr. and his fiancés Stephanie Smith of Culpeper, VA; her grandchildren, Jacob Riley of Stafford, VA and Noah Grayson Hawkins of Culpeper, VA; her siblings, Elmer Wharton and his wife Janie of Front Royal, VA and Mildred Atkins and her husband Thomas of Amissville, VA and her niece whom she thought as a daughter, Lisa Kimble and her husband Steve and their dog Halie of Maryland. She also leaves two very special friends, Doris McManious and Dyann Maddox and her beloved dog, Sugar. She is preceded in death by her parents, a son Franklin Riley, Jr. and her husband Robert Lee Martin, Sr.

A celebration of her life will be held Friday, July 24, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at the Clore-English Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Irwin. Interment will be private at a later date in Fairview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to the MDA or the American Cancer Association.
